this is one of my favor dish, i order it in many many different places, even though is a simple standard dish that you can order from most of the restaurants. but not all of them are making it good. Majority have not enough material like BBQ Pork, Shrimp, onion...etc, some taste too spicy and some have not enough taste, then some did not fry it enough or some over do it...not easy to master this dish. However, this place i went to did an ok job, not excellent but ok, cant complaint

Went to a Philippine Restaurant Deep Fry Pork
I went to this restaurant, i order the fry pork meat. It come in a very large portion, sorry the photo did not show the actual size too well. It is so big that i cant finished it and i have to take the rest home and make it into deep fry pork congee as my dinner for the night. I just added a little bit more salt, add tons of green onion and ginger cut into small pieces and it taste so so good.
A simple restaurant but with good food.

Went for an afternoon snack, a small restaurant that specialize in Hong Kong style Won Ton Noodle Soup. Almost 65% full house not bad for a weekday afternoon. The Won Ton Noodle taste ok. But the size of the Won Ton was way way too big. Personally it will be much better if it can cut the size of the won ton to half the size . It is too big. Because won ton should be a fair small size not that huge.....

A Nice Meal
I had see this place many many times throughout the past 10 years, but i never went inside to eat. Because too many other choices for chinese food. This one is kind of more Canadian Chinese style. But today i had to do something in this area, and i am hungry so after i done with my things i decide to go in and try. But to my surprise it is very good, i order the mix vegetable Beef with Cantonese style fry noodle. It is great, the vegetable are very fresh and pan fry just perfectly not overcook ...it must be done by the head cook, not the apprentice nor helper. Well, i will come back next time to try their other dishes. Price are reasonable too

I pass by a newly open restaurant so i go inside to order couple dish for lunch, this is one of them.
A very common dish in here called Singapore fry noodle. Even though this is very simple dish, but not all restaurants will it good. 8 of 10 times they are just ok or so so. for instance, this place is just kind of ok....not great nor best. But other dishes they have was fine. So if i come back next time i will order the other dishes again instead this one .

鬼門關開了...鬼月已經來到...小心門窗... 小心撞鬼, click to watch the video 點擊相片觀看視頻This Month is Chinese Halloween Month- for my Western Friend if you have time, read the following info, it may sound silly or stupid to many, but for thousand years Chinese had following this tradition and belief tightly.

This is 1st day of Chinese Halloween, it last for a month long. It is different than the Western Halloween because it is not a fun or happy event. Chinese belief from today on and throughout the whole month. The door of hell will be open and all the spirits, ghosts are allow to come up to the earth to visit their relatives, friends , someone they dont like or to find their enemies to harm them or even kill them. Because this is the month that all ghosts got permission to come up to earth freely. This is why people had to prepare many offering to their ancestors & all those strange ghosts that come to visit . Usually you burn paper money, paper gold, paper silver, paper clothing, paper houses, paper servants..to them. Also offer flowers, wine, fruits and cook meats for the dead to take, to enjoy and make them happy so they will not harm you. Lot of special paper money ( from so called Bank of of Hell ) to burn on street nearby where you live so those angry, sad or poor wondering spirits or evil ghosts will take the money happily and leave you and your family alone. Also this is still a common practice in Hong Kong in many parts of the cities , towns ,will hire the popular Cantonese Opera groups to perform.. It is really unusual and scary. For when they do their opera show, the front few roll of seats are not for sale, it reserve for the ghosts. Some they also will do the Opera performance from midnight on til middle of the night. But there will be no audience sitting at those few hundred seats, all empty. It is specially performance for the ghosts to enjoy....not for public human.

Also there are many Taboo one had to follow in order to be safe & avoid seeing or meeting the ghosts .. here is just a few samples .... Did not go out alone in the late night, did not go for swimming in morning and night time, did not hang your clothing outside at night, did not hang any wind bell near your bed , window or doorway, do not wear red color clothings, dont take photos or videos at late night, do not make big noise or yelling at night, not a good time to watch ghost movies, do not burn good smell home sense it will attract the ghosts to come, did not playing with phone by ringing at late night espeically dont dail number 13 or 0, did not go visit or near any temples or church at late nights, did not go to visit hospital at late night , many extreme belivers even will not have their wedding on this months, will not go for travelling becuase this months is the highest percentage of accidents happening,...............etc......a long list of things not to do in this month

I order a Smoke Meat Meal for myself. Did not realize it is a huge portion. I order the regular size but it is huge, this photo did not able to show the actual size. They also had a choice for a Larger size . I enjoy it, meat is good, French fir is good, Coleslaw is good, Life is good....... : ) We have to keep a positive attitude for life, then everything will be fine. Life will take care itself.... My Friend ...點了熏肉吃,份量很大, 他們有另一個更大的份量供選擇! 熏肉,,炸薯條,涼拌捲心菜, 一切都好..人生也很美好...必須保持積極的人生態度...放鬆....事情會照顧好自己的.

Since i am small, i love to eat the Cantonese Fry Chicken. It is a very standard , ordinary and simple Cantonese dish , you can order almost at any Cantonese style restuarnts. But to make it skin crispy,meat tender juicy and perfectly well done is not that easy. It really have to be a good cook, or well experience cook to make it good otherwise is so so..Ah.... but tonight this fry chicken is good, i enjoy it, will definately come back for more next time
